Driftwood Quintet is bringing in our first house show of the year with a performance of our program of piano works which will feature Mussorgsky's "Pictures At An Exhibition" as well as works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Debussy, and Schoenberg.
Playing with us through the night will be Mama Butane and local chamber-folk band North Brother Island who will be performing songs from their latest album Far North. They will also be joining us for a collaborative performance of Julius Eastman's open score piece "Gay Guerilla".
Price at the door is $6 (cash or card).
We'll also have free soda and snacks as well as a keg for those over 21.
Where's Waffle will also be there selling delicious gourmet waffle treats if you want something heftier to eat.
Doors open at 8.30. Music starts at 9.
