Driftwood Quintet continues our 2nd Annual Classical Underground Series with a fun performance of music from video games, movies and tv shows. Opening the night will be local video game jazz cover band Dratini on the Rocks. Come enjoy delicious drinks and snacks at Tempe’s finest non-alcoholic bar, The Chill Room. Don’t forget to bring your favorite handheld gaming console so you can play while you enjoy the music!

The Classical Underground Series is a new chamber music series that brings chamber music performances to intimate, laidback venues in the Metro Phoenix area. This series aims to promote chamber music as an inviting and social community-building experience for both old and new fans of classical music. This series will present four free performances between Tempe and Phoenix and features Driftwood alongside a host of special guests ranging from poets to jazz musicians and folk singers. Music performed in this series will not only feature classical composers that represent Arizona’s diverse cultural makeup, but also music from other genres reimagined through a classical lens.
