Driftwood Quintet’s new Classical Underground Series concludes with a final performance of chamber music hosted by The Onyx Art Gallery during May's First Friday festivities. The series finale will include guest performances by vocalist Chris Elliott performing songs from The Wiz, local artist and community builder Clottee Hammons reciting poetry by Marsha Music, and a jazz rhythm trio helping Driftwood close the night with a performance of Ellington and Strayhorn's rendition of Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite.
The Onyx Art Gallery will also be displaying pieces by local artist Phalen Booker.
